Proverbs 31:8-9

SPEAK UP for those who cannot speak for themselves
for the rights of all who are destitute
SPEAK UP and judge fairly;
defend the rights of the poor and needy.

I can feel, physically, my heart strain when I read these verses, think about what that might literally mean in my life and wonder how to get there.

The destitute, the poor, the needy, those who can not speak for themselves.
They would if they could - they will if you will.
What is it going to take? What does it look like?

Hi Holly,

It is really challenging to think about what this means in practical ways. Have you ever read Fields of the Fatherless? It is really amazing. Short and easy to read, but very good.

I think you would like it.

I hope you are having a good day!
