My little SamSam has a fever today.
No doubt partying hard four nights in a row with massive amounts of kids did her in.
I was curious whether or not we'd make it through that weekend well or not.
Big fat NOT.
So, she just has a fever. Nothing else.
It's hovering around 101 and 102.
I'm googling like crazy (in between doling out hand sanitizer that is).
I'd like this to be as short as possible for her, not necessarily as least miserable as possible.
I can't find anywhere where is says that not medicating makes it shorter but seems like I've heard that or read that in the past?
Does anyone know for sure????
I know all about the liver damage scare - that's not what I'm fishing for.
I know that med's make her more comfy - that's not what I'm fishing for.
I just want it short.

I always thought that the fever was trying to kill the bad body invader by burning it to death... so it's good to have a fever, as long as it doesn't get so aggressive that it damages the body too. I try to let the fever go up to 102 before I give them medication.
Don't hold me liable for this input. Hope she feels better soon!
I'm sorry to hear Samantha has a fever. Megan had a fever this last weekend too. We just gave her some ibuprofen and about an hour later, she was as good a new. This has happened to her in the past and ibuprofen always does the trick.
Sorry she is under the weather. Any word on your sister in law? I have been on pins and needles.
Let us all know.
