LifeGroup/Saturday Nights

(that's a lot of little girls on a Saturday night...and there are a few missing!)

every other Saturday night at our house,
LifeGroup,
plus whoever else needs a family away from family on a lonely Saturday night,
because that's how we do it in the military,

Jake, in a loving/tough way, reminded us all to take a look inside and reevaluate what we were giving...
Luke 12

These two questions sent us squirming and crying and digging:

1.  On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most, what number would you put on how much God has blessed you? (this is a general question....it encompasses everything)

2.  On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most, what number would you put on how much you are blessing others?

ouch, ouch and double ouch.

our numbers looked a little like this:

1.  10, 11, 15 (off the charts blessed!!!)

2.  0, 2, no one was anywhere near a 4

So, we were blessed off the charts and not even on the charts in the giving area.

I THINK I go through seasons of being near a 7, 8 or 9
but I KNOW I'm not in one of those seasons right now.

Luke 12 will be heavy on my heart this week,
prayer will be deep,
action will be required.

Yes... challenging thoughts...don't forget that loving on the little ones in your own house counts...just reminding you because I often forget...but it counts - it counts big time!
