'see you later girl!'

saying good-bye to a very close friend today.

one of the two worst things about the military.

we practically lived in each other's houses this year,
we shopped together,
we served others for Jesus sake, together,
we ate together,
we worked out at horrible times in the morning together,
she taught me to swim!!!,
we played together (aka girls night outs that included pretty drinks, dress up, Twilight, fish taco's, etc...),
we stuck out our chins in pictures together,
we cried together (and then you cried some more ;-),
we planted a garden that bore no fruit together ;-),
we prayed together,
we hashed out marriage stuff together,
our kids were buddies,
your kids were my buddies,
my kids were your buddies.......

I have moved enough times to know that friends like Becky don't just get plopped in your back yard every day.
It truly truly truly was divine intervention that my friend Becky was literally in my back yard.

yeah. I gotta stop.

the good thing is that also because I have moved enough times, I know that this is just "see you and talk to you later girl!"....

huh Stacy, Kristy, Ginger, Koosh, Jody, Amy, Erika, Amber, Mamaw and Papaw?

wow. I really do miss all of you but also wow - you are still in my life, in HUGE ways!

Prov 18:24 A man of many companions may come to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

and to my friend Becky~
you have been that friend the one that sticks closer than a brother.
a beautiful friend full of forgiveness, grace, hard work, flexibility, focus and love.

I love you.
'see you later girl!'

I'm going to remember this wise phrase 'see you later girl'... I feel like everyone I get close to leaves the state and I haven't been too good with Goodbyes so far in my life..

As always, you are wise & I miss you being physically present in my life. You Rock! -Erika Cargle

You're right, we're still here. From that Febuary day at Tripler Army Hospital til forever. That's the way it is when you're in God's family. It's never good bye, just "catch you later". But I also know how hard it is to see people like that move away to a place we won't see them everyday. The day you guys were flying out of Hawaii we got "entangled" with the inspectors clearing our quarters and we couldn't make it to the airport. I thought my heart would break because I didn't get to give you and Jonathan one more kiss before you went off to Alaska and we left for Georgia. I love you sweetie.

You're exactly right :) As long as you were talking about me, Amy :) I feel like you were b/c we were like sisters during your time in Ohio...and even still even though we don't talk every day or I don't stop by everyday :) I still think of you much and always know that I'll see you later...and then that time is so so sweet.

Love you much dear friend,
Aaaaaamy

I love that we are still part of each other's virtual lives! I'll take what I can get. I have few friends that I consider "Heart Friends"....you are definitely in that list!

Sorry you had to say good-bye to a friend...I'm missing one this week a lot that I had to say good bye to earlier in the summer...moving sucks!

You're so right, Holly. Your post made me cry. I miss you all so much and can't believe how long it's been. Celeste is moving next year and I am heartbroken. Thanks for the perspective on this just being a "see you later" and not goodbye.
