but I will say, it was worth it to just GET OUTSIDE.
the snow is too deep and hard to play in
the wind makes it even more painful when you're even just a little bit wet
there are no parks or sidewalks insight, they've been buried in snow for 2.5 months
the sun comes out about once a week
and I've just about 'had it'
so, it was worth it
we had our moments, most off camera ;-), some on:
self-imposed time out? I don't know, I never did figure out why Samantha was upset here!? she is so not a talker when she's upset. I'm sure she'll tell me later 'why' she was upset....always does....so different from her mama here...so like her daddy! (not the pouting, the other part!)
but it wasn't all 'moments'
there was good hair:
(I bribed them all with jelly beans to get them to let me do their hair all the 'same'
oh yes, I did.)
friend love:
playin' around:
(this is a sneak attack, Lydia just hadn't reacted yet ;-)
a tinsy winsy little bit of looking at animals!
and the dumbest picnic we've ever been on:
(dumb only because of the cold, we should have called it quits BEFORE lunch!)
and now we're home, 6-8 melt downs later (over half belonging to Sophie).
I'm as close as I can be to my space heater and still be safe, the girls are snuggled in for rest time, I'm blogging and then gonna go meet with my favorite Saviour...

The very top picture...Sophie, Nora, never can tell...looked like Samantha to me for just a sec. I've never thought of the twins looking like the other two...because they look like each other...it caught me off guard that she did in that picture. I'm about to get all sentimental...but I'm gonna stop...
you did it.
sounds like it was worth it.
even with the meltdowns.
sometimes ANYTHING is worth it just to get OUT!!!
very useful post. I would love to follow you on twitter.
