as if I know what 'an eternity' is or something!?
yesterday I actually saw the light at the end of the tunnel though.
The girls bunk beds came in, we hit up and cleared out Ikea (yes!)
let's just stop right there and have a moment of 'bliss-silence' for the FACT that Ikea (without traffic) is 15 minutes from my house!!!!!!
::::::::silence:::::::::
ok.
moving on.
the girls room is kinda together ~ needs those finishing touches that just really make a room but I don't rush those so the final final room may not be done for a while.
the big question right now is, do I paint the bunk beds or no???
If I was going to paint them, I go for a light cream color -
yes? no?
I don't know.
Here is the kitchen/breakfast room:
(we finally decided to move away from Dr. Pepper decor....
I'm sad and happy about it all at the same time.
Sad because we've had it for 11 years.
Happy because we've had it for 11 years ;-)
ugh...but then there are these areas:
every time I walk into these rooms I just kinda stare for a minute and then turn around to go into a room that I can actually think in -
the girls room or the kitchen.
which is convenient actually because it's where I spend 99.9999999% of my time.
that was smart of me.
wish I'd have actually planned that one so I could take credit for it!
oh.
and before you see this next room - shield your eyes......
.....are they shielded??
(this would be the 'before' picture - and the current condition picture)
and don't be jealous about this next picture,
I know that not everyone can look this good while they set up house.
me and June Cleaver....we're tight!

Two things right off the bat....
#1) Holy Smokes Holly! You look freakin' awesome! And it's not just because I haven't seen you in 5 weeks, eat somethin' woman! You're withering away! :)
#2) you got a new kitchen table? A new glass kitchen table? What?!?
#3)I actually like the green walls in your room, not as bright as I was imagining.
#4) I like the bunk beds white too. Cream would be pretty, but white works. I say leave em' be.
#5)where's my room?
and...that was five things....
Ok, I agree with Missy! I was like "whoa! Look at Holly?!!"
Next...IKEA!!! Oh boy, you are in serious trouble that it is 15 minutes from your house...I do remember taking you there in PA and you cleaning out the place....Jake was TDY and Holly was spending that extra dough he was makin'! Good times!!
Also, love the girls room...I am so jealous that you can put all 4 of them in one room! I am so scared when Eva comes home and she has to be in with Gracie...advice pah-lease!!! Keep the posts coming, miss you!!
no...don't paint them!
looks great!
So you are skinnier every time you post a picture. Way to go, girl! Keep enjoying being a runner. I think the white is perfect - it goes w/ the pretty laundry hamper and balances the room like a triangle. Your green room isn't nearly as green as my guest room, but I think my sis in law is right that it is fine for visiting, but not for everyday. You will enjoy picking out the perfect color and will enjoy it more for the green now. :o) Thanks for sharing your new home. It is lovely. Love from NE.
Keep the white it goes with the window trim.
What is Dr. Pepper decor?
Way to go taking candids of yourself that says "I'm awesome and I know it!" and you so are!
Just so you know, my house looks like your "I can't think" zones ALL THE TIME!!! Can I please come stand in your kitchen, maybe that way I will be able to put a full thought together without... Hey, I think I'll make pancakes for breakfast tomorrow. :)
Dont paint them!
And you totally look GREAT!!!!
The beds look great as they are. And you do too! Love all these pictures - ESPECIALLY the last one!! Fun :)
Have to agree with everyone here and say YOU LOOK SMOKIN'! You are my inspiration, next year this time, I want to look like Holly. I want to be you when I grow up, basically.
Love the house, don't love the green walls, I am with you on that, girl! The pics of the girls in their new room look like a magazine for Ikea. And, can I say how incredibly jealous I am that you have IKEA so close! Let's just take a moment and grieve for the fact that I have to go to TEXAS to go to my favorite store.
Lookin' good, keep it up! It will get there, keep pluggin'!
Wow - first of all - skinny minny!! You look AWESOME Holly!!
I love the house. It looks so cute! Can't wait for the road trip to DC :)
Erika Cargle
I don't think you should paint the bunk beds at all. You already have cream tones in their rooms. Let the bunk beds pop! :]
Dude, you look good! Not that you didn't look good before because you did. You've always looked good. I notice these things because like you I'm on a journey to lose a little bit of weight. Keep up the good work!
I'm with everyone else....you look great!!!
and so does the house. I love the new kitchen look, bright & airy. and the girls room looks awesome (keep the beds white!)
the areas that are "done" definatly look like a Holly home.
ok...ok...i know i'm late...but i'm finally catching up and i LOVE what you've done with your house! LOVE the kitchen and the girls' rooms. leave the beds white.
and, yes, you look AmAZING!!! :-) but you always did, beautiful girl! you always did.
