Nora and Sophie's attention span ran out WAY sooner today than it did yesterday.
sooo...into their room they went with some puzzles and games while I focused on Lydia and Samantha for a while.
That was awesome!
The little girls joined us later and I was able to give them one-on-one attention then.
That was awesome too!
Then we packed a quick lunch and headed to the park for 3 HOURS with some friends!
why?
because it was a beautiful day, I missed my new friend, and we homeschool so we can do crazy things like that on a Wednesday afternoon!
no one was there except us
(and maybe a van load of mentally handicapped guys, which was more fun than anything! they have THE best conversations ever....with or without someone else!)

I asked Lydia what she thought of the last two days and if she was liking school the way we're doing it?
This was her expression when she answered:

I won't write about the fact that yesterday afternoon I realized their dance class starts tomorrow and they had NONE of what they needed, everyone was in desperate need of tennis shoes, daddy's on another trip so I'm solo, we've been eating out way too much, my hip still hurts from my run on Saturday (getting better, but hurts) and the days have been fun but very very long and I'm very very tired and I have lost my patience too many times and gone 'too far' too many times and Naomi, I ate the whole dang bag by last night and I miss my husband and....
....well, I just didn't want to look back and beat myself up for being so dang perfect, when I am soooo not.

OH NO! I feel so awful, it's my fault, because I planted that idea in your head!!!
(eh... I think you probably deserved the whole bag anyways though)
