my sentiments exactly Miss Nora:
day one and we have our first drowning experience out of the way.
it happened in my mind first, then in slow mo' right by me.
I was close enough to rescue Nora from trying to sit on her tube instead of in her tube almost immediately but that didn't stop her from shaking uncontrollably or stop Sophie from covering her face and nodding 'no, no, no, no' willing it to all just go away.
oh the world of twins!
actually, the world of Sophie.
The girl will not be a nurse.
She cries and anguishes just as much as the person around her being injured or in pain.
She's a feeler, that girl.
Samantha's tooth fell out over a bite of pizza at the dinner table...there was blood.
After rushing Samantha to the sink and beginning the cleaning process we looked over to see Sophie with her shirt up over her face nodding 'no, no, no, no' in the same exact way.
"Make the blood go away!" - you could just hear her thinking it!
When the t-shirt came down you would not have known who's tooth came out exactly...a little pain in someone else really shakes that girl UP.
(her own pain though??? totally different matter!)
Nora did not enjoy the drowning experience however, once she stopped shaking she has very much enjoyed the attention and retelling the story at every hour on the hour. Sophie glazes over every time. I don't think she sees the point in retelling that horrid event!
Sophie the Feeler.
Nora the Attention Craver.
that's the moral of this story.
