love part 1
Saturday I got old.
We went to the wedding of a little baby boy man who I had held as a newborn.
He was actually in mine and Jake's wedding as our ring bearer and now there he was, grown and all tall, getting married himself.
It was a beautiful wedding.
(sorry, no picture of anything except what was on our bench because we were about 10 seconds late - no joke, they closed the doors as we were walking up the sidewalk - and so we were at a disadvantage picture wise...it was pretty, just trust me!)
the parents of that little baby boy man are in the background ;-)
kisses from mother-of-the-groom
love part deux
I have no pictures of this part.
we ran an 'errand'.
I said we shouldn't, it would take too long,
we have people that might end up waiting on us scheduled for later in the day.
Jake said we should, it'd only take and hour or so.
We argued.
We ran the errand.
What happened was exactly what I said would happen and exactly what Jake said wouldn't happen.
I win.
kidding.
just kidding.
the dumbest part is, I felt just as bad for him that it didn't work out his way as if I would have felt if it didn't work out my way.
so...does that mean he actually wins?
is that love?
(oh...the errand also resulted in me having a new phone # - I'll try and get it out to everyone today but if you need it before then, email me and I'll get it to you sooner)
love part three
we drove up into our driveway to the most precious people sitting on our driveway waiting for us....
that was Saturday and we spent all of Sunday with them too and we will continue to soak up time with them for another week or so.
the pictures are all really really dark because as soon as the kids got their bathing suits on thunder rolled in, lightning struck directly on our street....NO JOKE! IT WAS LOUD!...and our power was out until about 4am this morning.
the storms here are quick so as soon as the coast was clear we kicked the kids back outside ;-)
(oh...Josh has four kids so we had 8 total and, keeping with what always seems to happen, there were 7 girls and 1 boy.)
his nose was sore by the end of the night.
all of the sudden she doesn't want her picture taken!?
bummer for her we can still get those eyes in a shot because there's so much of them!
My Mamaw and Papaw are some of the nearest and dearest people in my life.
To get to spend time with them to me is one of my most precious worldly treasures, if you can even call it worldly....
Precious I tell ya.
it's a drink of freshness for my spirit and emotions...
I held the man from the wedding as a baby and they held me as a baby....they still kinda do and I love every minute of it.
They love my kids as ferociously as they have always loved me and now their kids kids and my kids get to be pseudo-cousins.
(For those of you just joining my life....my Mamaw and Papaw are just super duper super close family friends - not actual grandparents to me...they are WAY too young for that - that are as close as true blood relatives. They held me in the hospital as a baby and have been there ever since.)
ya might see a 'few' pictures of all of us this week!!!!
