what I want to remember....

...that my girls love theatre as much as I do.

Saturday night:

WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY JR!

Yes, "Charlie" is a girl and she/he was darn good too!

My girls left begging me to 'do that' - ah...I LOVE it!

(be in a production, not be a boy ;-)

...that Jake loves it as much as I do TOO!!!

Sunday night:

SOUTH PACIFIC

at the Kennedy Center!!

 ...that I had the hottest date there

...that we had THE best photographer who paid me THE best compliments the whole time she was taking our picture.

 ...that as ugly as the Kennedy Center IS (what gives!?) it takes a lot more than that to make bad theatre or put any damper on my night.

the production was so so so so good!

My mom was in South Pacific when I was little and then I used one of the songs to audition for the roll of Snow White in the fourth grade...and I got the part!

LOVED hearing all those songs again.

 ...that we went with Tom and Jess...our BOMB neighbors!

 ...that nights out like these are so special to me.

Monday was a holiday for us.

It was also a pivotal day for me.

One I'll never forget.

After a bowl of genuine, homemade gumbo and over cookies and coffee, a special friend got out a shovel for my heart and wow.....
