I've lost control of this girl growing up. She just won't stinkin' STOP.
I've lost control of Nora's wardrobe...
I buy them super cool tables from thrift stores, sand them down and refinish them so they DON'T have to color on the floor.....
I guess you can't really control where a person best gets their artistic inspiration from!?
I've lost control of my days.
But that's ok.
I truly feel like a 'working' mom.
I don't know how to articulate this other than to say that my time these days is something new.
After the 'school' is accomplished there is very little time for other things.
I don't know if it's that all of their schooling is so hands on (on my part) right now or what, but it feels very demanding on my time.
As they get older there will be quite a bit more of independent work, but right now....not so much.
The progress they are making is so fun - and they are having fun.
I'm morphing more into an unschooler everyday and I love it.
They love it.
They are learning and they love to learn.
If I accomplish that one single thing in our schooling, that's what I consider a success.
That they never stop loving to learn.
Our 'home' life, which thankfully includes so much of our 'school' life, is morphing as well.
I really don't know how to articulate that.
It's good, it's just new and I'm not sure what to do with it all quite yet.
*sigh*
I loose control of my living room every day.
this is a typical 'school mode' living room shot.
Nora and Sophie BEG to do Lydia and Samantha's work...I let them and surprise myself every time they actually 'get' something. Oh yeah!? They aren't babies!?
I guess I lost control of that too!?
lost control of Spanish.
According to Sophie: "him's name is Pongo (from the tag), but him's a girl so we have to call him Ponga because in Spanish 'a' is for girls"
That's Sophie's Spanish Lesson for the day....
now we're going to go work on gender and pronouns.
Nora has a skunk named 'Stunk'. (not pictured because he/she - it changes - got left out in the hail storm last night, she is being washed...poor thing...hope my laundry doesn't Stunk)
and I don't really know what this is, but I know whatever it is,
the end.

Oh My goodness...that was so so funny
Love that Spanish lesson!!! Way to go!
I seem to recall our living room looking like that on some school days as well. Good news!@@ It won't always be like that, so don't fret and enjoy the moments while you get 'um!
Love ya!
Mom
you are doing such a GREAT job! you've embraced it all so well...figured it out...changed as you've gone. it's so amazing to "watch"!
bah ha ha! Laughed so hard at that last picture of the Kens. And, that top picture of Lydia, uh yeah, she looks like she could be a ten year old! You've definitely lost control of that one...that girl is growing up!
