it's broken

Lydia saw a picture of Africa up on the screens today at church.
She got a very concerned look on her face and then turned to me to say:
"It's broken mommy....that picture is broken"
I don't know what she was trying to say but,
yes Lydia, that picture is broken, Africa is broken.....now if only other people could see Africa through the eyes of a three year old, maybe it wouldn't be broken any more?

Perhaps she saw Madagascar and thought it was "broken". A fabulous observation. I love the way kids can look at things so honestly.
Recently my mom made a comment that her grandmother liked to eat the fatty butt of the chicken, Joel(5years) very honestly answered "yeah, but you would have to cut the crack out before eating it right?"
