it's a furry of pre-trip preparation around here.
we're leaving for Colorado on Friday.
cleaning cars, laundry, fixing DVD players, eating creatively so we don't have food sitting in the house while we're gone, etc...
and Jake's off to help with it all!!! I love it.
it was school this morning, with our book that finally came (and they ended up offering it to us for free for the long wait!!!! I love good customer service!) and a revelation that the work books we ordered for Lydia are too easy for Lydia and are now Samantha's. We'll pick and choose some of the harder pages for Lydia but other than that, they are Samantha's and we are back to the drawing board for Lydia. which is ok because that's one of the perks of homeschooling - tailor made for your kid!!! I love it.

You can split those workbooks into two sets easily. That's what we did for Juli. Samantha is very ready for the first set. Lydia can work on the second. And even those may not take her very long! I meant to talk to you after the "x" comment lol. Yeah, she was just bored. But that's a good thing, right?! Wanna come "shop" in my giant bin o'curriculum? ;)
Hooray for hubby help! Are you guys driving? Do you need anything? Can I keep some kids so you can run errands?
This is one of those times I really wish I was still in Colorado...Have fun!
oh yay! Come to the game on Saturday...old times sake! It's parents weekend! Sure to be a good time! Love to see you all and have you and the kids over to play! No pressure though...just call last minute if you want!

I heard the workbooks that you can get with the Sonlight curriculum are pretty good. Love your description of how you get ready!
