NEED Opinions!!!!

I LOVE to give my opinion.
who doesn't???

well, I'm needing yours.
LOTS of yours.

just finished sanding down all these puppies.
(remember this table??? this is the $125 Goodwill find that called my name ;-)

the plan was to:

A:
sand them down,
prime them with black primer
spray them black (with really good spray paint)
distress them
and then Poly Stain them with a deep brown

(making them mostly black with deep brown antiquing)

but now that they are sanded, am I googly eyed from looking at them so long or do they really look kinda cool and could I get away with just

B:
Poly Staining them with a Black Stain.

A or B????

some thoughts:
I'm using Poly Stain so we get the Polyurethane on there for durability and cleanliness
(unless one of you smart people have another idea!!! please share, if so!)

we just want to go with the black color - how that happens, we are open to creative thoughts.

we don't need the quickest or cheapest, just the neatest looking.

ok...now what do you think would look better?

A or B?

I vote for A! I think it would look wonderful with the rest of your furniture. You have such wonderful taste!

I vote B. They do look really cool like that. In fact, when I was looking at the pics before reading what you wrote, I was thinking they looked great already.

I say go with B. If it turns out awesome, then you are set. If it doesn't, then you haven't wasted too much time/energy and can go ahead with the other plan.

I vote A. =) Congrats on getting it all sanded....what an accomplishment already! Do you remember our kitchen cabinets? I think it's the look your going for...we sanded, primed, painted black, distressed, stained and then used poly to seal them....careful with the polyurethane...not too thick and also go in the same direction and quickly otherwise it will get sticky...don't go over the same spot more than once either...big mess =)
Can't wait to see your finished product!

I think B. Don't know why, just a gut feeling that you will like the outcome.

A...lots of work, but seems like what will give you the longest wear out of your table. :)

I'm with B--I think they look cool now and I'm all for less steps in my day. :-) Try one chair and if it looks terrible, you can go back to plan A.

good idea. try B on 1 chair and see...

I like the idea of trying one chair with plan B. Good thinking. :) Then you'll be able to visualize a bit more if you'll like it.

I'm sticking with the B crowd-try one chair. I think you will get the look you want, but in the event you don't, you will not have wasted a lot of energy on something that wasn't right and you can go back and try your original plan.

I say do one in A and on in B and see what you like best. I'd vote for A just because that was your first thought...and our first thoughts are usually our best...usually. When all else fails..make sure you ask Naomi.
